05:43 pm:
Well, Jocelyn is pregnant again.  I hope it's a boy this time. I've had nothing but girls for the longest time.  And please, not another set of twins!

You can see the new pool in the background.  I love the curved slide and the new floor stuff.  I have a sun at the bottom of my pool. The Count had a chance card that he answered wrong, which caused him to be demoted.  He's in the Legal career path.  Early in the morning, Jocelyn felt the familiar pains of labor (why is it that almost every major life event has to take place in the bathroom?).

Welcome to the world, Matthew Langerak! Finally. I was so sick of having girls all the time!

And everything looks so much sharper now that I've fixed  the graphics.  Now I can actually tell what my Sims are talking about! But I still need a better PC so that I can use the "Special Events" camera.

SimCity Chronicle is saddened to announce the departure of one of its founding citizens of Cerise.  Christine Wilson (born Christine Butler) passed away today at the age of 70.  She married Count Heath Wilson and bore two daughters: Jocelyn Langerak and Scarlett Wilson.  She is survived by her daughters and her three grandchildren: Cassandra Langerak, Regina Langerak, and Matthew Langerak.  May she rest in peace.

I don't know who the guy in the lab coat is; Christine brought him home from work.  He's sobbing his heart out.  Poor Scarlett took the death of her mother really hard.

I feel bad for her. Everyone else was like "Meh, she died." and went off to do other things, while Scarlett here kept sobbing.

And that's where I'll end this update.

10:57 pm: Update or Lots O' Birthdays

At the end of the last update, Jocelyn had gone into labor.

Here's her daughter, Cassandra "Cassie" Langerak.   And here's a shot of the new family: Geoffrey and Jocelyn with their twin daughters, Cassie and Regina.

I *think* Geoff has Cassie and Jocelyn has Regina, but I'm not sure. (A/N: How do you tell who's the older twin?)

While Geoffrey and Jocelyn were off working, Granddad Count stepped in to prove he did love his grandkids.

But then came some bad news.  While working, Geoffrey received a chance card:

which he answered wrong.
\

But then there was some good news! Scarlett came home with her first A+.

Can I just state how much I love this little girl? I'm sad she wasn't the firstborn girl, because then she would be the heiress.  I still haven't changed her hair from her sister's wedding!  Later that day, it was time for the twins' birthday.  First to age was Regina.

Then her sister Cassie:

The wins' weren't the only ones with a birthday.  The next day, Scarlett became a teen. She's a Fortune Sim

And two days after that, it was time for the twins to age. First was Regina:

Then her sister Cassie:

Mean looking, isn't she? I'm glad her sister is heiress!  A nice shot of Cassie, Count Heath and Regina (in that order):

And that's where I'll leave this update!

09:26 pm: At the end of the last update, Scarlett had become a toddler.  She was learning all the skills, like walking.

Soon after that, it was time for her to become a child.  With a jump and a spin, she aged happily.   She looks a lot like her mother, but she did inherit her dad's nose.

Meanwhile, over at La Fiesta, Jocelyn was happily cleaning, like normal

I love how she sort of looks like a robot there. Jocelyn, the latest in robot cleaning technology.  After influencing one of her dorm-mates to write her term paper, Jocelyn went to the easel to paint a masterpiece.

"Masterpiece" being some weird image of a llama.  Anyway, pretty soon it was time for Jocelyn to graduate.  She did so, graduating with a 4.0 and Summa Cum Laude.  It was time for her age transition.

Jocelyn made a pretty adult...and she had an okay outfit on.

Now that Jocelyn was home again, it was time to remodel the Legacy home.  Can't have any future heiresses living in squalor, can we?   I didn't take a "before" shot, but here's the after shot anyway:

I love the bay window in the nursery.  Almost every house I make has a window like that.  And that's Christine and a newly aged Scarlett playing Red Hands out front.  Just ignore Jocelyn's dresser.  Oops.

Here's the interior: nursery, living room, master bedroom, kitchen, heiress bedroom.  I'll add a second story later.

And that's the Count cleaning the shower stall.  I guess I know where she gets it from!  After settling in, Jocelyn called her college sweetheart, Geoffrey, and asked him to move in.  He agreed, bringing in $6, 916.

(I was trying out formal looks in this pic!)

Soon after that, Geoffrey asked Jocelyn to marry him.  She accepted, seeming to be as impressed by shiny things as her mother was.

The next night, the Wilson household hosted a wedding. It's my first wedding using Celebration stuff.  Usually my heiress gets home from college, calls her beau, and they get married on the front lawn.

Wedding Spam!

I adore the rose aisle!

The very first day at work that Jocelyn had as a con artist, she got a chance card.

Luckily, she got it right.

Not ten minutes later, Christine receives a chance card. Which I thought I had a pic of, but I guess I don't. Anyway, she got it wrong.

And it should be "heels", not "heals", Maxis! Unless they were making a pun.   Anyway, things were going great in the Wilson/Langerak household.  Until the day Christine brought home Kennedy Turner, Jocelyn's old flame from college.  They hung out on the couch, talking about her college days.

And before she knew it, she had pulled Kennedy close to her.  She realized she was in love.  She was confused.  Had she rushed into marriage? She knew that as an heiress and a Count's daughter, she was held to higher expectations.  But had she chosen Geoffrey simply because he was there?

Later that week, as Christine scanned her bookshelf, she realized she was pregnant.  It was her and Geoffrey's first child.

I finally got tired of the Count biting his family.  So he bit Christine, who called her friend Shane, whom she bit.  After Shane was a vampire, I turned both the Count and Christine back into mortals.  This is the Count, sans vampirism.

Isn't he handsome?  Pretty soon, Jocelyn went into labor.

What will it be? A boy? A girl?

Stay tuned!

10:56 am: 'Nother Update

Jocelyn LOVES to clean.  I kid you not.  If she's not sleeping or eating or studying or at class, I can usually find her cleaning.  When she gets up in the morning the first thing she does is make her bed.  Normally the Sims that I have leave their dishes on the table after they're done eating. Not Jocelyn. She washes her dishes. I'm lucky  that so far no one has come by to pull a prank using the sprinklers or she'd be cleaning up that mess as well.

Ugh, see how disgusting the toilet is? Yuck. Gross college age Sims!  To get away from the ever-increasing pressure of her school life, Jocelyn headed downtown with a girl she had met, and whose name escapes me.  While downtown, she met Kennedy Turner.  Little did she know just how much he would affect her life.

Ugh. I had to say it. That stupid cow came by and what's the very first thing she does? Messes with the sprinklers.  Good thing Jocelyn is asleep.

Ha. After Jocelyn woke up, she had breakfast and I directed her to do her term paper.  Her environment score dropped, and after she finished her paper, she immediately set upon cleaning up all the puddles the cow had created.  After calling Geoffrey and getting his answering machine, Jocelyn decided to call the man she had met the other night, Kennedy Turner.  He was home, so she invited him over and he gladly accepted.   After talking and flirting, the summer heat took over Jocelyn's mind.  And she kissed Kennedy.

She immediately was filled with guilt, for her heart lied with Geoffrey.  But this was a crush, nothing more.  She'd tell Kennedy that she was in love and that she couldn't hut Geoffrey.  But she had to admit to herself that lately whenever she called Geoff, he wasn't home. She was beginning to feel lonely.   Maybe Kennedy was the one for her.

In order to sort out her feelings, Jocelyn invited Geoff over for a date.  Everything was going so well.  Nobody made her feel safe like Geoffrey did.  She knew then that he was the one for her.

Pretty soon the two of them caved into their passions for one another. They were slowly making the transition from friends to lovers.

A transition that was soon complete.

And that's my update for today.

03:41 pm: Look, Ma! An Update!

While Jocelyn was off wooing Geoffrey, things continued as usual at home.  To pass the nighttime, Count Heath spent many an hour out at the pond near the edge of the property, fishing.

I am the MASTER of fishing! HA HA HA.

I've never fished before, so I couldn't figure out how to COOK them.  I finally just dropped them on the floor and had Christine put them in her inventory.  I had her make Blackened Catfish, and look! It sparkles! I wonder if that's because she made it from food she actually caught, as opposed to something like Mac and cheese? Anyway, it's pretty cool.

Pretty soon Heath had a Silver badge in fishing, while his wife worked on getting her gardening badge.  Soon enough it was time for little Scarlett to become a toddler.  With a toss and a spin, Scarlett changed from baby to an adorable toddler.  Christine was off tending the plants in the greenhouse (I didn't expect the Count to get up and risk death to help his daughter age), so she missed her daughter's birthday.

Scarlett wasn't the only one in the house who had a birthday.   It was Christine's turn to age as well.  With a spin and a twist of her own, Christine became an elder.

And away we go!

I think she looks okay as an elder. And you can see the pond behind her.  The greenhouse is further to the right, housing a lemon tree and three tomato plots.

Christine's nearing death raised a few questions.  The Count was immortal.  She was not.  He feared her death just as much as she feared his death.  There were only a few options: he would die shortly after her death, he would change her to a vampire, or he could turn himself back into a mortal.  They didn't know what to do.  But for now they would enjoy the time they had together.

Meanwhile, back at La Fiesta Tech...

Jocelyn was enjoying the time she spent with Geoff.  They talked and flirted and gossiped together. In fact, it wasn't long before they were crushing on each other.

"And then I said, "That's no clown; that's my teacher!"

After his laughter died away, Jocelyn couldn't help but be swept away by his dark brown eyes.  She leaned forward and kissed him.  He was her very first kiss.  My teen Sims don't really get to enjoy being a teen, because I hate playing them through University.  So they don't get their first kiss and stuff till they hit college.

So our heiress had her first kiss.  Aww.  Then it was soon obvious how Geoffrey felt about Jocelyn.  They were best friends and in one way more than that.

I love the look on Jocelyn's face. It looks like she's thinking, "Score! I got myself a hottie!" And aw, Jocelyn fell in love pretty soon thereafter. And I think that kiss was an autonomous action by Romeo there.

See that cow couch? I started a legacy here that died off because I lost interest. Anyway, for some reason, she had to pay the bills that came.  I forgot, and the guy came and repossessed the couch, so I had to buy them a new one.  And that's the story of that couch.

And that's where I'll leave this update.

07:39 pm: Wilson Legacy Continued
Normally I can't stand to have extra Sims over. I was about to send the Sim Jocelyn brought home from school away, when I realized that it was Lisette Cox, a daughter of one of my failed Legacies! And that's Christine who has learned a new skill.

And a very pregnant Christine heads off with one destination in mind: the fridge.

Must have food...

One rainy Friday morning, Christine's screams of labor brought her daughter running. She saw her mother and stopped.   Only my Sims are so unbelievably weird.  Jocelyn's first thought isn't about her mother in pain.  Oh no. She's excited that's it's RAINING.

"Look, Ma! Rain!

Anyway, Christine gave birth to another baby girl which Christine named Scarlett.

*coos*

I'm not going to redesign their house till after Jocelyn returns home from college. (read: when Jocelyn returns with $20,000).  Later that day, while at work, Christine received a chance card:

She got it right, thankfully. She earned a couple of charisma points and one body point.  Jocelyn believes she is ready to go to college, so off she goes!

Ready to take on the world!

Jocelyn begins life at La Fiesta Tech as a young adult.  And yes, that's baby Scarlett on the floor there while the Nanny ignores her.

Once at La Fiesta Tech, Jocelyn set about the business of getting settled.  Here are her stats, since I neglected to mention them: She is a Knowledge Sim with a lifetime want to max all 7 skills.  She is  an Aries, with these traits: 7-9-5-4-3. She is a math major, since I choose all my majors at random, unless the major coincides with the lifetime skill.

Here Jocelyn is, hard at work studying to raise the Grade Bar.  The brunette on the left was always the one my Legacy sims used to go to to write their term papers.  Because I couldn't stand Jocelyn's horrid cowboy outfit, I gave her a makeover.

Before:

After:

I think she looks MUCH better!  And is quite stunning,  After finishing her term paper, Jocelyn headed downtown for some fun. ("Fun" meaning "Husbands").  So far she had been unlucky, but she may have found a husband.  Meet Alvin Reamon, a bartender at a card place.

Sorta good looking.  But the search isn't over yet. Jocelyn scanned the room, and her eyes fell on a tall, dark-skinned  handsome man at a table playing cards.

Needless to say, Jocelyn was highly impressed.  Geoffrey Langerak was his name, and Jocelyn couldn't help but use all her charms on the man.  He seemed to be into it.

Jocelyn began to get to know Geoffrey.  He was cute and had a little bit of money, which was always good for a Legacy heiress.  So whenever the heiress had a spare moment, she spent it getting to know Geoff.

"How nice to see you, dahling!"

Is Geoffrey the one?

Find out next time!

08:01 pm: The Wilson Legacy Continued

Count Heath has the nasty habit of autonomously biting Christine's neck and turning her into a vampire. I don't want her as a vampire, so she has a supply of that vampire medicine in her inventory.  So anyway, the family was just hanging out, skill-building, when I notice that the Count was over near her.  I paused the game to make sure he wasn't about to bite her, and I found that he had crossed the room to autonomously congratulate his daughter on her A+. Awwwz and stuff.

"Good job!"

A few days after that (and a few attempts to bite Jocelyn's neck!) Jocelyn became ready to age to teen. You know, the Count better knock off the attempts to turn his wife and daughter into vampires or he's gonna find himself out in the sunlight.  Anyway, Jocelyn's age transition!

She glows.....

Ooh, pretty shiny things...

,..and ages to a beautiful young woman.  Jocelyn is a Knowledge Sim.  Just to prove that insanity is apparently a genetic trait, our Jocelyn takes it upon herself to tickle her father.  Sigh.

*Danger? Ha! I laugh in the face of danger! Ha ha ha!"

So I turn away to watch House. I glance back over to see that the Count's doing his "Come to me..." thing. I don't cancel the action in time. And I realize he's turned his daughter into a vampire.  Grrrrr.

And then proceeded to bite  his wife. He's lucky I don't have the heart to kill him off! Oh, and look! Baby number two.

And that's where I'll leave this update.  Stay tuned!

08:41 pm: More of the Wilson Family (just a quick update!)
To get things going, here's a nice shot of the Count and his daughter, Jocelyn. Can't you see the resemblance?

I'm so tempted to see what the Count looks like sans vampirism.  But I don't want to lose him as a vampire! And I think it's funny that when I created Christine, vampirism was her turn-off! Sure, they had a rocky start, but now look at them! Married with a daughter! I just have to include this picture not because it adds to the story, but because it's hilarious.

"ZOMG....the SUNNNNN!"

He's freaking out, but his wife is looking at him like, "Here we go again...." It's a good thing my house is windowless. And here's a shot of our heiress with her first ever A+. As the daughter of a Countess, she's going to be held to higher expectations. She is Lady Jocelyn Wilson, after all.

Update Journal
*Yes!*

See, the undead aren't so different from us.  After running up to the count's coffin, he rose from his slumber and cheered on his daughter's achievement.

"Go, Joce, go!"

This is what the Count does every night. Gets up and paints. Then paints some more.  It's all good though, because each one brings in at least $200.

*stroke stroke stroke, paint paint paint...*

Stay tuned for more!

06:28 pm: Baby Love!
At the end of the last update, Christine had given birth to her daughter, Jocelyn. Soon enough it was  time for Jocelyn to age to toddler.
Isn't she a cutie?!

*baby coos*

Despite being an undead, Heath still had to care for his daughter when his wife was sleeping.  As a vampire, I'm sure he'd rather be off biting necks than potty training Jocelyn.

*sigh* I gave up the nightlife for THIS?!

For Christine, life couldn't be better. She was at work and got a chance card. She answered it right and got a promotion!

I love when I get promotions off chance cards. But it takes longer to build the new skills, and I'm horrible at skill building. With his wife off  at work, Heath took on the task of teaching Jocelyn to talk.

*You think I have the prettiest blue skin? Why, thank you!"

After teaching his daughter to talk, Heath began to teach Jocelyn to walk, too.

*Come on, Jocelyn, take one step then another.....*

I like how most life events take place at night. I guess that's what I get when I have a vampire in the family.

"You did it! Now, for toilet training...."

Pretty soon it was time for Jocelyn to age to toddler.  Christine bought a cake, blew out the candles and waited. Jocelyn glowed....

...and turned to a child.

Jocelyn heads off to school.

Stay tuned for the next update!

03:10 pm: As you all know, Christine accepted the Count's proposal. She couldn't help but feel slightly overwhelmed.  What would be expected of her as a Countess? She stared at the Count. She couldn't lie to herself. Life was hard. She never got to see him, except at night, and that was hurting her job performance.  But she loved him, and wouldn't do anything to hurt him.

What's with the leopard jacket, Heath?

The ceremony began.  Because they didn't have any friends (heh) and Heath couldn't have a wedding in the daytime, they had a quick nighttime wedding.

Wedding-flavored Spam!

I, Count Heath Wilson, take thee, Christine Butler....

I, Christine Butler, take thee, Count Heath Wilson...

I'd like to present Count Heath Wilson and his new bride, Countess Christine Wilson.

You may kiss the bride. And not bite her.

And so after the wedding they celebrated like any other newlyweds.  Because this IS a legacy, after all. Oh, I'm playing the matriarch handicap, so all my heirs need to be female.

While the Count slept, Christine felt a wave of nausea.  True, the food that she had cooked had been slightly burnt (that's what you get when you drop a cooking action to go paint, Christine!), but she'd eaten burnt food like that before and hadn't felt sick. She *was* a nurse; maybe she had picked up something from a patient. Nevertheless, she spent the morning worshiping the porcelain god.

A shot of the happy couple just because I love them and think they're adorable together.

Soon the reason for Christine's sickness made itself obvious. She was pregnant! The second generation was on its way.

Pop number two!

Pretty soon there would be the pitter patter of tiny feet around the house. She looks so huge! I wonder if vampires have a better chance of twins? I'll find out soon enough.

And sure enough, Christine began the baby dance.

Please welcome Jocelyn Wilson to the world! I think maybe she got Dad's skin tone. And no, she didn't have an affair!

12:15 pm: The Butler Legacy Continued...
When we left Christine and the Count, they were getting to know each other.

*smoooooooch*

As the romance between Christine and the Count deepened, she  couldn't help but feel that she was living "The Phantom of the Opera". Both men preferred darkness and were social outcasts. Both women were named Christine (and no, I didn't do that on purpose!), and they loved their men regardless of deformities or an appetite for blood.

Romance pic spam!

*mmmm....feels good....*

Soon enough, Christine felt that she and the Count were ready to live together.  The Count accepted, bringing in $50,380. It was enough to make Christine feel faint.

And pretty soon the Count and Christine were in love. Christine was very happy. She was rich, she had been promoted to Nurse, and she had a man.  Life was good.

After they had cuddled and kissed, Count Heath told Christine that he had something for her outside. She was curious.  He poofed into a bat (that's SO AWESOME!) and she followed him outside.

"Will you marry me? Make me the happiest vampire in the world?"

"Boy, you undead really know how to treat your women!"

Stay tuned for a wedding!

10:12 am: {Be kind! This is my first attempt at a blog!}

Hi. I'm Christine--Chrissy--Butler. I'm a Gemini fortune sim who wants to be the chief of staff at SimCounty Hospital.

That's my house. Well, shack. It's all I could afford with $20,000 Simoleons to my name. But I'm a Fortune Sim, and soon I'll have a mansion with everything that I could ever want. It's my legacy, and I intend to make sure that my offspring live well.

After painting a little bit,  I ended up downtown. I met a couple of guys. One wasn't much to look at, but was really interested in my talk about violins.

The other, a vampire count. I knew that if I married the Count, I'd be a Countess. Practically royalty! As a Fortune Sim, I couldn't ask for more!

I began spending more time with th Count. Because I worked a day job and he couldn't be out in the daytime, it was a perfect relationship. I'd never courted a vampire before, so I knew that I should just expect the unexpected.

"So then I said, no, it was a watermelon!"
Count: HAHAHAHAHA. So funny you are!

Only the very brave have the nerve to tickle a Count. A vampire count, no less. But hey, he seems to like it!

Tickle Monster!

{Oops! Ignore the sign on his head!}

Before I knew it, I found myself falling for the handsome count. Believe it or not, the deathly pale skin tinged with blue became handsome to me. Perhaps I'd be a Countess after all.

*smooch*

What will happen next?
Will our Christine become a Countess?
Will the Count ever let her admire him?

Stay tuned!
